Pinterest video downloader
Paste the link to a public Pin and save the video as MP4, just the audio, the image or the GIF. Free, no sign-up.
Free, no sign-up, and no copy kept on our server.
How to download a Pinterest video in 3 steps
Copy the Pin link
In Pinterest, open the Pin, tap Share, then Copy link.
Tap Paste
The search starts on its own.
Download
Tap Download video, the audio, the image or the GIF.
The app copies a short pin.it link, which works as it is. On a computer, open the Pin and copy the address from the browser bar. If the link comes with other text, there’s no need to delete anything: the tool finds the link.
What you can download
The video from public Pins as MP4, in the largest version Pinterest keeps, and that video’s sound as MP3. Pins on secret boards and from private accounts, whole boards and profiles, and YouTube or Vimeo videos shown inside a Pin are not supported.
On Pinterest, the Save button adds the Pin to one of your boards and doesn’t put any file on your phone. Here, downloading means having the file on your device, to watch offline or use wherever you want.
Images and GIFs
Photo, illustration and infographic Pins get a Download image button, at the largest size stored. Animated Pins get Download GIF, with the original .gif file, which stays animated. More on the Pinterest image downloader and the Pinterest GIF downloader pages.
Where the file goes
Each device saves it in a different place. On iPhone, the file goes to the Files app, not to Photos.

Fair use
Download for personal use and ask for permission before reposting someone else’s video. Anyone with rights over a Pin can ask for a block on the removal page. PegaPic is not affiliated with Pinterest. Pinterest is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc.
More about PegaPic
Video quality
Pinterest keeps each video in more than one version. PegaPic gives you the largest MP4 for that Pin, with no conversion or upscaling, and shows the width and height before you download. In the Pins we tested in October 2026, vertical videos came at 1080 × 1920 and at 640 × 1138 pixels: it depends on what the creator uploaded.
There’s no 4K or “forced HD” option. A file bigger than the original would just be the same video stretched, heavier and with no extra detail.
Video, image or GIF: what you get
| Type of Pin | What the list shows |
|---|---|
| Video with sound | Download video, as MP4, and Download audio, as MP3 |
| Image | Download image, at the largest size stored |
| Animated GIF | Download GIF, as the original .gif file |
| YouTube or Vimeo video inside the Pin | Not supported: the file lives on that site |
In a Pin with several pages or images, you get the first one. When a Pin links to another site, like a recipe blog or a store, you only get what’s in the Pin: the destination page isn’t included.
When it doesn’t work
- Deleted Pin, secret board or private account. The tool only reads public Pins. Open the link in a private window: if Pinterest asks you to log in to see the Pin, it won’t open here either.
- Board or profile link. An address with a profile name and a board name leads to the whole board, not to one Pin. Open the Pin before copying.
- Nothing happens when you tap Download video. The site probably opened inside another app’s browser, which often blocks downloads. Tap the three dots and choose to open it in your browser.
- Expired links. Each download link lasts about 15 min. After that, tap Get new links.
What we keep
No video, image or audio is stored: the file goes to your device with no copy on our server. There’s no sign-up, and the site never asks for your Pinterest password.
Public Pin data, like the author and title, may be cached for a few hours, not linked to you, so we don’t fetch the same Pin from Pinterest again. Access logs (IP, date, time and port) are deleted after 30 days. Details are in the privacy policy.
Fair use and removal
Download for personal use, like keeping a recipe, a tutorial or a decor idea to watch offline. The person who saved a Pin isn’t always the one who made the video: before reposting, find the creator, ask for permission and give credit.
Anyone with rights over a Pin, or who appears in it, can ask us to block the link or the whole profile on the removal page. We reply within 2 business days. The block applies to our tools: to take the Pin down, report it on Pinterest too.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It’s free, with no sign-up. Ads pay for the site.
Do I need to log in to Pinterest?
No. The tool only reads the Pin’s public page, the same one anyone can open without logging in. That’s why it works with public Pins only. Pins on secret boards and from private accounts are out.
Does it work with pin.it links?
Yes. The short pin.it link the app copies works. So do full addresses with /pin/ and the Pin number, and regional ones like br.pinterest.com. See how to copy a Pin link.
What quality will I get? Is there 4K?
You get the largest MP4 Pinterest keeps for that Pin, and its size shows under the button before you download. We don’t upscale: if the Pin isn’t in 4K, there’s no 4K to download.
Does the video have a Pinterest watermark?
No. You get the file Pinterest itself uses to play the video, unedited. Any text or logo the creator put in the video stays there. If you share it, credit the creator.
On iPhone, where does the video go?
To the Files app, in Downloads. To add it to Photos, open it, tap Share and choose Save Video. See the iPhone guide.
Does it work on Android and on a computer?
Yes, in any browser. On Android, the file goes to the Download folder. See the Android guide.
Can I download images and GIFs?
Yes. Paste the Pin link the same way. For photos, see the Pinterest image downloader; for animations, the Pinterest GIF downloader.
Why won't a Pin download?
The usual reasons: the Pin was deleted, is on a secret board or belongs to a private account; the link you copied is a board or a profile; or the Pin plays a YouTube or Vimeo video, which isn’t stored on Pinterest.
Do you keep the videos I download?
No. The file goes straight to your device, with no copy on our server.
